Hattie Ellen Taylor was born to George Bennett Taylor
and Martha Susan Springfield on October 21, 1871.
She married Charles Clark
Redus, the son of James F. and Elizabeth Ferguson Redus,
and they resided in
Lamar
and Pickens Counties in Alabama. In the last twenty years of her life, Hattie wrote down many of her
memories
of life in those times.
