This website is
to present my ancestors along with documentation, sources, and photos to provide a basis for the exchange of information with others sharing the same relatives. I also provide information
from sources not directly pertaining to me, but particular to

Lamar County, Alabama, as a resource for other family researchers with roots in this area.
The Family Database contains individual pages for over 6500 relatives, each with its own ancestor and descendant charts. Attached are pictures of 460 obituaries, 62 birth and wedding announcements, 110 marriage licenses, 404 census pages, and many birth, military, and land records. There are also photos of local newspaper articles going back over 120 years.
My main four family lines, Redus, Price, Mason, and Mitchell, all came to Lamar County, Alabama between 1830 and 1870 with many of their descendants still making their home here. Some of the other names found on this site are Hall, Robertson, Wallace, Smith, Thomas, Lampkin, Wheeler, Shelton, Ferguson and many others.
The cemetery pages contain photographs of the grave markers of 1629 people

which I am expanding every week. Complete photo transcriptions have been done for Mt Olive, Shiloh (Pinhook), Emmaus Cemetery, Hollis Family Cemetery, Old Corinth, Morton Chapel, Springfield, and South Carolina Church Cemeteries. Currently working on photo-transcribing Sailor Cemetery.
The Lamar County High School section contains one complete yearbook online with one more in progress.
